5 is usually seen as the weakest of the NES games. didn't add anything major gameplay wise to the franchise. and had a rather weak plot by the Classic series standart. honestly Inafune should've released the game on SNES with gameplay and lore ideas from Mega Man X1(which was developed around that time).

The absurdity that is Mega Man 5. So, I decided to boot up the ol' Legacy Collection on my desktop and play some Mega Man while consuming adult beverages. Picked MM5, selected Star Man, and began my adventure. Five of the first 6 robots I destroyed gave me a 1-Up. I had 7 lives by the time I reached the letter.

There were a few Robot Masters who didn't fit the previous 5 games thematically (Yamato, Centaur, Tomahawk, perhaps Knight). Mega Man 2 and 5 were still my go-to games. THAT SAID, Mega Man 6 was a great game and technically had superior graphics and gameplay. The music kept the tradition.

Feb 21, 2022 · Mega Man 5, as an NES game on aesthetics and probably one of the most solid games due to it's good level design and usually what I would compare any other games. Despite that, it doesn't stand out despite being the most pretty and a solid game.

I also think 5 is more well-rounded in regards to difficulty. 4's one of the harder games in the series, but I feel like 4 was too spike-heavy at points. 5 is still decently challenging, but it's pretty easy for Mega Man standards. The only major problem I have with 5 and the thing that keeps it middle of the road for me, is the weapons.
