The Tahoe National Forest is tinder dry as Royal Fire still burns
The Royal Fire kept pace over the night, growing to 200 acres by Tuesday morning in a canyon that is steep and isolated. This part of the Tahoe National Forest, near Royal Gorge and Soda Springs, is overloaded with tinder-dry brush and thousands of dead trees.
