A newly-named storm, named Conall, is forecast to bring heavy rain to southern England and Wales, hitting communities still cleaning up from Storm Bert. The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for rainfall in several southern areas of the UK from 22:00 GMT on Tuesday until midday on Wednesday.

Storm Conall has caused disruptions at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, plus heavy rainfall in the northern coastal areas of the Netherlands.

A United Airlines passenger was reportedly restrained by multiple fellow travelers after he started repeatedly stomping on his own seat mid-flight. United Flight 502 was heading to Los Angeles from Austin on Saturday, Nov. 16 when the shocking incident occurred.

Clearer weather is forecast as Storm Conall moves on to the Netherlands. Transport was disrupted on Wednesday as heavy rainfall battered southern parts of the country. However the weather is now returning to a “typical end of November”, Met Office meteorologist Greg Dewhurst said.

The storm is forecast to track east during Tuesday night and into Wednesday, but will not be at its worst until it has passed through the UK
