Upon winning the pole for Sunday’s Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway, Michael McDowell received an email detailing what he could and couldn’t say to the media regarding his Front Row Motorsports team owner suing NASCAR over alleged antitrust violations.

Front Row Motorsports is fighting a lawsuit with 23XI Racing against NASCAR and Michael McDowell is taking his boss' side.

For the sixth time this season and on the fifth consecutive superspeedway, Michael McDowell and Front Row Motorsports are on the pole. The speed that this team has had this NASCAR season on the drafting tracks has been out of this world.
