Paul George and Joel Embiid will miss their second consecutive games due to their respective left knee injuries. George is dealing with a left knee bone bruise he suffered in a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday while Embiid is dealing with swelling in his left knee that caused him to be scratched from Friday's win over the Brooklyn Nets.

Embiid had limited involvement in training camp, did not take part in the preseason and sat out the first several games of the 2024-25 season. On top of that, it has been openly declared that the plan is for him to not play any back-to-back games moving forward.
