Jasprit Bumrah and Yashasvi Jaiswal headlined India's record 295-run win in the first Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy in Perth. If Bumrah started the turnaround with this five-wicket spell, Jaiswal took over with his big century to bat Australia out of the game.

"That was Jaiswal's best Test innings so far. He left the ball well. He likes to attack but he left a lot of balls," India's stand-in skipper Bumrah said after India thrashed the hosts by 295 runs in the series-opener.

Bumrah picked eight wickets, including a five-wicket haul in the first innings, and claimed Player of the Match honours in Perth, where he was leading India in Rohit Sharma’s absence.
