With Greg Norman’s turbulent reign as the CEO of LIV Golf in the rearview mirror, a new report indicates that a former executive with the NHL and NBA is ready to assume the post as the league enters its fourth season.

Sources tell Golf Digest that Scott O’Neil, a sports and entertainment executive, is expected to be hired as the league’s CEO, replacing Greg Norman in that role, with a formal announcement to come in the next month.

A former NBA and NHL executive is expected to replace Norman sometime in 2025, when the Saudi-backed league enters its fourth season.

O'Neil will inherit a tour that has become increasingly worldwide but needs a long-term TV carrier in the United States.
