When American Idol returns for its eighth season on ABC this March, there will be a new configuration of judges taking part in the search for the next singing sensation. Replacing Katy Perry will be Carrie Underwood, who won the fourth season of Idol in 2005, and has become the most successful winner to date.

American Idol judge Luke Bryan exclusively told E! News at the CMA Awards in Nashville about his advice for his new costar Carrie Underwood, who he says is doing a “great job.”
