The injectable weight-loss drug Zepbound appears to work better in women than in men, according to a new analysis.

Injectable prescription drugs that reduce appetite — like Ozempic, Saxenda and Mounjaro — have skyrocketed in popularity in recent years.

A recent study suggests that people taking the GLP-1 liraglutide experienced more bone loss than people who exercised during the same time period. However, the study also found that exercising while taking liraglutide and other GLP-s may help prevent bone loss.

The manufacturer of Ozempic is testing amycretin, an experimental weight-loss pill that appears to help people quickly shed pounds.

"Weight loss medications are not one size fits all and patients should always discuss options with a trusted medical professional," one expert told Newsweek.
