The Orlando Pride and Washington Spirit battled it out in front of an announced sellout crowd in Kansas City. As was the case throughout the postseason, the top seed took care of business. The Orlando Pride won their first NWSL championship thanks to Barbra Banda’s first-half goal.

Barbra Banda scored in the 37th minute and the Orlando Pride beat the Washington Spirit 1-0 to win their first National Women’s Soccer League championship

For the first time in club history, the Orlando Pride are NWSL champions. A first-half goal from Barbra Banda was all the Pride needed to secure a 1-0 victory over the Washington Spirit at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City in Sunday's championship final.
