We're tracking a pair of storms in the Atlantic to start the week including a tropical cyclone that could bring severe weather to the Carolinas.

Potential Tropical Cyclone 8 continues continues to churn off the South Carolina coast and should bring us beneficial rain late Monday through Tuesday.

A potential tropical cyclone headed towards the eastern US coast was 100 miles east of Charlestown, South Carolina with 50 mile-per-hour winds at 8 a.m. local time, the US National Hurricane Center said.
