Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the NDP is turning its back on workers by holding up a promised $250 rebate the Liberals promised to send to millions of Canadians.

Trudeau announced last week that the government would be pausing the GST/HST on select items, including beer, takeout food, children’s toys and Christmas trees in time for the holidays, but also send out a new rebate for working Canadians in the spring next year.

NDP leader Jagmeet Singh was in B.C. Friday, standing by his decision to block the Trudeau government's $250 cheque program unless it's expanded to many more people. Paul Johnson reports.
