MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) — Twenty-four people died after two boats capsized off the Madagascar coast in the Indian Ocean, Somalia's government said Sunday. Somalia’s Foreign Minister Ahmed Moalim Fiqi said 46 people were rescued.

At least 24 people have died after two boats carrying mostly Somali nationals capsized off the coast of Madagascar, local authorities said. A statement from Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said efforts were underway to "ensure the safe return of the survivors".
