A Connecticut man has been arrested in Puerto Rico for allegedly murdering a four-month-old baby and the child's 20-year-old mother from Massachusetts.

A 20-year-old Massachusetts woman and her infant were killed Tuesday afternoon in a drive-by shooting in Hartford, Connecticut, police said.

Lance Morales is accused of shooting and killing Jessiah Mercado, 20, and her baby, Messiah Diaz, both of Springfield, Mass. A man in his 20s was also injured.

Lance “Macho” Morales of Waterbury, wanted in the Hartford shooting deaths of Jessiah Mercado and her 4-month-old son, is in custody out of state.
