President-elect Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau both have questions about transshipments from China undermining the North American trade deal.

Mexico said it would slap tit-for-tat tariffs on the US, while China said Trump's finger-pointing "runs completely counter to facts".

The tariffs, if implemented, could dramatically raise prices for American consumers on everything from gas to automobiles to agricultural products.
