At least four people have died, thousands of homes have been damaged and hundreds have been evacuated from homes after flooding struck central and eastern Europe on Saturday

Central European nations are bracing for severe flooding forecast to hit the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Germany, Slovakia and Hungary over the weekend.

Emergency responders found the bodies of three women and one man in eastern counties of Romania, the country’s Department for Emergency Situations told the Associated Press. Romania is among several European countries facing the devastating rains, alongside Poland, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic.
