The 129th annual YMCA Turkey Trot takes place Thursday morning in the City of Buffalo, as this year’s event is sold out with 14,000 trotters ready to take part in a staple of Thanksgiving Day. Read mo

From 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., traffic will be restricted on Delaware Avenue from Hertel Avenue to Comet Avenue. From 5 a.m. to noon, Franklin Street from Court Street to West Mohawk Street and Pearl Street between West Mohawk Street and Court Street (both ways), will face traffic restrictions.

Turkey Trots have become an enduring tradition for many people on and around Thanksgiving. There are thousands of races, ranging from about 1 mile to a full marathon.
