WINDSOR LOCKS, CT (WFSB) - Avelo Airlines on Thursday launched a base at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks. The airline said the launch included four new domestic nonstop routes. The destinations included: The North Carolina routes started Thursday. The Florida routes were slated to take off on Friday.

Avelo Airlines took flight from Bradley International Airport for the first time Thursday. The budget airline announced their expansion to Windsor Locks in July. Previously, Avelo only flew from its headquarters at Tweed New Haven Airport.
