Police on Friday arrested the husband of a woman missing since Nov. 22 on allegations of second-degree murder — weeks after she petitioned for divorce against him.

Fournier, who reportedly went missing while hiking with her two dogs in Welches, Ore., more than a week ago, has been arrested for murder, authorities said Friday.

She vanished on a hike with her dogs, but a chilling twist now has her husband facing murder charges—and the dogs are still missing.

The search for missing Brightwood resident Susan Lane-Fournier is now in its fourth day as scour continue to search the Mt. Hood National Forest for signs of her whereabouts.

The search for 61-year-old Brightwood resident Susan Lane-Fournier was called off at 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 26, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office announced.

Rescue teams spent four days in the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness, which is in the Mount Hood National Forest, trying to find any sign of the missing woman from Brightwood and her two dogs. But because of weather conditions and the “likelihood of survivability,” operations were called off, deputies said.
