The weekly performance turned green eventually for these two benchmarks, which was earlier dragged by the escalation of war between Russia and Ukraine coupled with investors demand for dollar and treasury yields.

Nifty surpassed the previous swing high of 23,780 and, thereby, reversing its short-term trend. An analyst expects the Nifty to retrace towards 24,400 with potential to extend towards 24,730.
