An unusual snowstorm has blanketed Seoul, South Korea's capital, grounding hundreds of flights and disrupting traffic.

A deadly and historic November snowstorm paralyzed parts of South Korea on Wednesday, as heavy snow warnings led to widespread power outages and flight cancellations.

This is the most snow to fall in Seoul in more than half a century. The accumulations forced air, sea and road travel closures leading to an overcrowded, delayed subway system. Take a look at some of the stunning visuals from the scene.
