California Proposition 32 Election Results: Raise Minimum Wage
This proposition would immediately increase the rate to $17 an hour, and then to $18 an hour on Jan. 1, 2025, for workplaces with 26 or more employees. For smaller employers, the rate would increase to $17 on Jan. 1, 2025, and then to $18 on Jan. 1, 2026.

California voters are deciding whether the state's minimum wage should increase from $16 to $18. If Proposition 32 passes, wages will go up to $17 an hour immediately. Wages would then go up to $18 in January 2025, but the raise would be gradual for small businesses until 2026.
