On November 11, surveillance video showed her at a downtown Los Angeles Metro stop with a person not known to her family. Larie Pidgeon, Kobayashi’s aunt told KTLA 5 her niece did not look well. “She is not safe, and she is not alone,” she said.

The family of Hannah Kobayashi held a rally Thursday afternoon in downtown Los Angeles as they try to bring more attention to the missing Maui woman.

Loved ones of Hannah Kobayashi initially became worried after she sent a series of troubling texts to family and friends leading up to the 31-year-old’s disappearance.

The 31-year-old sent out-of-character messages to her friends and family about an "intense spiritual awakening" she experienced.

Kobayashi was headed from Hawaii to New York but ultimately missed her connecting flight in Los Angeles on Nov. 8. The 31-year-old was spotted, alongside an unidentified person, on unreleased surveillance footage in downtown LA near a Metro stop about a block away from the Crypto.
