Oklahoma honors the late Toby Keith with incredible sing-along tribute
Oklahoma took some time to honor the late Toby Keith inbetween the 3rd and 4th quarters of its game against Temple on Friday night. During the break, Oklahoma pulled out their phones, turned on their flashlights and sang one of Keith’s most memorable hits — “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue.”

“Toby Keith: American Icon,” a special that honors the memory of the country music star who died in February, airs Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC. According to the network, more than two dozen performers will appear in the special to pay tribute to the late singer. The event was filmed at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on July 29.
