That's 1080p, of course, but these are esports titles and we like our frames more than our pixels for competitive gaming.

AMD has launched the Ryzen 7 9800X3D desktop processor as part of the Ryzen 9000 series, with the Zen 5 architecture, eight CPU cores, and 16 threads. AMD said the new processor would deliver “up to an average 8% gaming performance improvement compared to our last-gen generation and up to an average 20% faster than the competition.”

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the first X3D CPU in the latest Ryzen 9000 series to break cover and will go on sale starting November 7.

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D overclockers have already pushed the new best gaming CPU to 7.2 GHz and achieved 1400 FPS in Counter-Strike 2.
