Asian countries, including the northern and northeastern parts of Thailand, are facing a difficult situation. Recent floods have affected more than 30,000 families in 12 provinces of the country. Typhoon Yagi is raging in Asia.

The most powerful storm to hit Asia this year affected over half a million people in Myanmar, further straining the war-torn nation’s already limited resources.

Rescue operations using boats and helicopters, supported by Thai Navy SEALs, are underway to reach those trapped in flood-hit areas. Floodwaters have begun receding in some parts, but many riverside settlements remain submerged.
