At a Democratic Party Caucus for the south suburban township, Henyard had her name denied for the Democratic ballot because she did not have a full slate as required.

State Sen. Napoleon Harris received the Democratic nomination for Thornton Township supervisor over incumbent Tiffany Henyard.

Tiffany Henyard has been forced off the ballot for the position of township supervisor, but she plans to run as a write-in candidate for the position and is also facing a challenge to remain as the mayor of Dolton.
