Melissa Peterman and Reba McEntire, who costarred on the sitcom 'Reba,' shared what it was like for them to reunite for their new sitcom 'Happy's Place' ahead of the 2024 Emmy Awards

The show is a reunion of sorts for McEntire and Peterman, who also co-starred in the beloved McEntire-led 2000s sitcom Reba. Several Reba producers have signed on to work on the new show, too, and McEntire's real-life boyfriend, actor Rex Linn, has a role, as well.

Ayo Edebiri, nominee and star of The Bear, encountered the duo on the red carpet and had a serious fangirl moment, telling them she watched the show growing up. She later admitted "I really, really am proud of myself for not singing the entire theme song."

Edebiri was nominated for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her work in The Bear at the 2024 Emmts. McEntire and Peterman were presenters during the show and chatted about their upcoming sitcom, Happy's Place, while walking the red carpet.
