The animated film about a young teenage girl and her complex emotions has passed the $1.25 billion mark globally and is expected to keep growing.

The blockbuster sequel has passed up 'Incredibles 2' to land at No. 4 on the list of biggest animated films ever, and its joyous ascent won't end there.

Now, “Inside Out 2” has its eyes on another record — highest-grossing animated film of all time. It currently sits behind Disney’s original “Frozen” film ($1.285 billion), Illumination and Universal’s “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” ($1.361 billion) and Disney’s “Frozen II” ($1.453 billion).

Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” has achieved a major box office milestone, going a long way toward easing anxiety (pun intended) surrounding the Disney-owned computer animation studio’s prospects. The Wide Shot brings you news,
