The Palm Springs Film Festival has announced its 2025 lineup including opener Better Man and closer The Penguin Lessons.

The Palm Springs International Film Festival is set to kick off on Jan. 2 with “Better Man,” directed by Michael Gracey, while the closing film on Jan. 12 will be “The Penguin Lessons,” directed by Peter Cattaneo.

The 36th annual edition, scheduled for Jan. 2-13, will screen 158 films from 71 countries including 68 premieres and a special spotlight on international films and the works of Pedro Almodóvar.
