Memphis and Shelby County schools faced multiple lockdowns due to social media threats, with officials urging calm and caution during the response.

At least four high schools in the Memphis area have been put on lockdown following social media threats, per officials. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office said someone contacted Southwind High School threatening a shooting on Wednesday.
