First Lady Jill Biden accepted the delivery of this year’s White House Christmas tree from Cartner’s Christmas Tree Farm in Newland, an area impacted by Hurricane Helene.

WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) — The holidays are in full swing at the White House. First Lady Jill Biden welcomed the official White House Christmas tree on Monday. The event is a longstanding tradition, but this year the tree has some extra meaning because of where it came from.

Jill Biden, accompanied by her grandson Beau, welcomed the arrival of the festive fir hailing from North Carolina.

As any retailer knows full well, it’s never too early to start planning — and selling — for the holidays. And the same might be said for Christmas tree farmers especially those, who vie for the chance to have one of their trees showcased at the White House.
