Voters in County voted down a 1% County Schools Facilities sales tax for the fourth time Tuesday, according to unofficial election results. In the city of Effingham, Mike Rowe, 35, chose to vote against the CSFT tax because he believes more taxes puts more pressure on mom and pop businesses.
Guilford County sales tax increase struck down by voters
Guilford County asked voters, once again, to vote on a quarter-cent sales tax increase. A whopping 59% of ballots cast were against the increase, with only 40% voting in favor. This particular referendum has failed multiple times in the last several years.
