The No. 1-ranked Georgia Bulldogs almost dropped a road game to the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday, September 14, and they could have lost a whole lot more. Heisman Trophy candidate and starting quarterback Carson Beck appeared to bang up his shoulder during the course of the night.

It's never been a secret that Carson Beck is one of college football’s premier quarterbacks. His play in Georgia’s commanding 48-3 victory over Tennessee Tech, though, may have cemented him as the nation’s best. Beck finished the game with 242 yards, while tying a school record for most touchdown passes in a game (5) in the process.

Perhaps the most important trait for an NFL prospect at quarterback is the ability to hit moving targets in perfect stride. Beck did that several times against Clemson, notably on a picture-perfevt catch-and-run touchdown connection with London Humphreys.
