Aston Villa recorded a 0-0 draw with Juventus in a controversial Champions League encounter at Villa Park on Wednesday night. Villans forward Morgan Rogers saw a late goal disallowed after the video assistant referee spotted a foul on goalkeeper Michele di Gregorio.

Both teams had moments they thought the game might be won, but in the end Juve escaped Birmingham with another draw.

The Premier League team thought they had snatched the win when Rogers converted from close range with seconds left, but the celebrations were soon halted at Villa Park when Diego Carlos was adjudged to have fouled goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio while competing for a cross.
