By Hannah Confino and Laila Bassam JERUSALEM/BEIRUT (Reuters) -Israel is moving towards a ceasefire in the war with Hezbollah but there are still issues to address, its government said on Monday, while Lebanese officials voiced guarded optimism but said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was not to be trusted.

The proposal under discussion to end the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah calls for an initial two-month ceasefire during which Israeli forces would withdraw from Lebanon and Hezbollah would end its armed presence along the southern border south of the Litani River.

Israel and Hezbollah are nearing a ceasefire agreement, as hostilities intensify between the two. While Lebanese officials remain cautiously optimistic, skepticism surrounds Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's intentions.
