For decades, Pixar was a studio synonymous with top quality, and even Animation Studios spent years trying to produce originals that were comparable to the best Pixar movies. While the global pandemic was perhaps even less kind to the Toy Story studio than anybody else,

The animated film about a young teenage girl and her complex emotions has passed the $1.25 billion mark globally and is expected to keep growing.

"Inside Out 2" is now Pixar's top-grossing film of all time, passing "Incredibles 2" to take the 23rd spot on the list.

Now, “Inside Out 2” has its eyes on another record — highest-grossing animated film of all time. It currently sits behind Disney’s original “Frozen” film ($1.285 billion), Illumination and Universal’s “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” ($1.361 billion) and Disney’s “Frozen II” ($1.453 billion).

The blockbuster sequel has passed up 'Incredibles 2' to land at No. 4 on the list of biggest animated films ever, and its joyous ascent won't end there.
