WEBAug 3, 2020 · The 4/4 won't be available with just a cable splitter. It'll be 2/4, but on a good note those 2 would be full speed . A hub would give you 4/4 but shared speed, so if you only plug 2 things in, basically full speed (minus a tiny bit of overhead), if you plug 4 things in they would slow down if you tried to hammer all 4 at once.

The splitter had to be on the line with internet so he wouldnt' do it said it'd decrease signal too much, but he wired up a passive amplifier. WEBJun 15, 2011 · Per pin amperage for a 4-pin Molex is 8.5a, so you can get 102w from it's +12v pin. I've seen both 11a and 13a for PCIe pins so 3x 12v = 396-468w. A good quality PCIe splitter will allow up to 198w-234w per graphics card. Since PCIe spec is 150w per 8-pin connector, you'd be well within that limit.

Imagine you have two Noctua PWM NF-A9x14 fans in your case, but both are being driven by the one fan header on the mobo, because a forked or splitting "Y-cable" has been used. (That is, the Y-cable splits or forks one connection into two, allowing two fans to be connected.)

WEBMar 29, 2010 · The splitter is powered by a SATA cable, not the mobo header directly - it only receives the PWM signal from that to determine the speed of the fans. As I already mentioned, I already tested the fans individually and they work fine, except for the one that mysteriously died. The problem is running them all at once via the splitter.
