Need help finding a replacement for the chip on f7002 - PS5
WEBFeb 19, 2023 · Chip was fried so no numbers or ID tags. 8 pin chip. Can find replacement chips for other models of PS5, which seem to have a different design, but cant find a replacement chip for this model. Can anyone help?

WEBOct 6, 2023 · F7002 is the one that seems to blow the most often. You can test it with an ohmmeter or continuity tester (with the unit's power disconnected of course). With power on it should show around 5 V on either side of it.

WEBFeb 26, 2023 · Checked 5v on the F7002 and it’s there but the output seems to be grounded. I used a bench PSU to check the amp draw and it goes to 30a and then back to around zero when i power it up. Can anyone help me with what to check next?

WEBAug 18, 2024 · I guess you have 12v present. Does F7002 have continuity? Did you find short around f7002? Look for any short around TPS2001D usb mosfets or any other fuses(F7501,F7001)

WEBOct 2, 2022 · Yes, I have a EDM-010, I measure on F7002 black fuse on both side 5.075V, near at the filter both side 3.299V. By the Way, I measured at the PWR Button PIN 3.3V and Eject Button 2,98V. That drops when I press the buttons.

WEBJun 5, 2022 · I watch TheCodr on YouTube and he has a few videos (roughly and hour or longer) of the ic going bad on I believe the f7002 fuse. Also check toward the bottom for the south bridge ic for shorts. There should be 3.3v on the 1 cap and then 1.3v on the other side when you push the power button.

WEBAug 18, 2024 · ON EDM-010 board, 5V Standby or USB port 5v generate from F7001 area. 3.3V gen from F7002 area, 1.8V comes LIKELY from the SBV on left side of CXD90061GG but I personally never seen one of SBV dies.
