WEBJan 10, 2017 · YMMV, but a freezer is normally set 10 - 20 F degrees below freezing at least and the fridge temp is about 5 F degrees above 32. WEBAug 21, 2018 · Below is a screen shot of the fridges behavior, only about 30% full, in the back of my Land Cruiser: I also replaced the Costway 12v wire and the 12v socket on my power panel with the above-mentioned ARB units. The old Costway plug was loose fitting and would fall out of the standard 12v socket in the power panel.

12V compressor fridge not starting/staying on. Thoughts?
WEBAug 12, 2021 · It's running fine with engine on, BUT with the engine off but circuits on, it will NOT start properly, even in the Low setting. From looking at an inline voltmeter, it seems that the voltage in the back when various circuits are on is only about 12.4V and much less than that when the compressor is starting.

WEBJan 3, 2018 · My fridge is set with the "high" cutoff meaning it's super sensitive to voltage drop. I have the Amazon "Costway" fridge which is a little less efficient than the ARB/Dometic equivalents. It is also $400-500 less. Keep in mind that I never unplug my fridge and it's been in a constant on state since January.
