A resistance of less the 100 ohms was measured between any two points in the control cavity. The resistance should continue to drop over the next 24 hours as the solvent evaporates.

Has anyone used using aluminum tape for shielding
WEBApr 3, 2005 · Jul 16, 2007. #1. I have a large roll of Aluminum Tape the kind the A/C guys use to seal duct work. It has an adhesive backing and its easy to get in any home depot. I put an ohm meter on the front and sticky side of the tape and got a reading of 0 ohms. I never tried to solder it, but since the adhesive is conductive, there may not be a need to.

Now a decent quality conductive paint like you would find at Stew-Mac can out-perform a job done with copper tape. It's worth noting that most (if not all) of the high-end builders use a quality conductive paint these days.

WEBJun 11, 2024 · Lockhart, TX. Saturday at 6:17 PM. #1. I just got done shielding my Squier 60’s CV PBass today. It had the 60 cycle hum. I bought conductive adhesive cloth tape from A* for $8.99. It claimed that the adhesive was conductive and I was glad to find out it was. As you can see from my measurements no resistance.

It's sold by Caswell, the home plating place, for pre-coating non-metallic parts to electroplate them. But, they say it was developed to use for EMI shielding. $40 for 4 oz. WEBFeb 26, 2000 · So I just shielded a Squier Deluxe Active J 5 last night. It came equipped with shielding paint, so I used the multimeter to test the results, before and after. (I used the 20k ohm resistance setting) BEFORE (just conductive paint): There was indeed a flow on the paint. However, the further away I had the probes, the higher the number went.
